The hip LA based brand, Band of Outsiders was the first one to present their latest menswear spring collection in Italy. Brand’s designer, Scott Sternberg decided to bring some Americana style fashion to the Italian fashion capital for menswear. The collection started with a replication of West Side Story which was very appropriate for the American influence. The dancers were also part of the collection as they were modeling the spring collection as they danced to the famous Broadway play.
Like I mentioned before the clothes felt very American, with aviator and letterman jacket, double breasted blazers and cuffed up trousers. There was interesting combination of denim as it was either dark wash or an extreme bright yellow or red. Band of Outsiders also used the show as an opportunity to showcase their latest Band of Outsiders X Sperry Topsiders collaboration. Some of my favorite pieces from the collection were the digitalized printed sweatshirts and shirts, giving a fresh take on old American classics.
