Running in Water

This weekend I went to the new Degas exhibit at the museum and outside there were some kids enjoying the summer heat by running in between the water sprinklers. I saw it as the perfect time to take a couple pictures for my portfolio. Well this was my favorite shot of the day.

  1. What a great shot! Looks like something that belongs on Tampa's news website. BTW... have you been to the new Dali museum in St. Pete? If not you gotta check that out, I bet you could get some great shots there too. And it's free for students!

  3. I love the picture you took! The life you captured in the boys' movement is breathtaking. I feel as though I can hear the laughter and shrieks of the children and feel the cool flecks of on my face. You must have an awesome camera.

  5. My family went to the new Degas museum recently, I couldn't make it due to a painful hangover--classy I know. ANYWAYS, they weren't really too impressed. How did you find it to be? I'm a big fan of his work because of his fascination with movement, dance, and ballerinas. I did point for 5 years so it strikes a personal chord. I heard that there wasn't too much to see though...
Also, Love the picture. It could almost be used as social commentary--I count 6 boys in the picture and no girls. But, focusing on its stylistic qualities it is very nice. I'm jealous of your new camera :)
